A tie documents history. Trainer and Greeny names are written on the back of a tie.
Elder Traasdahl has been out 3 months... some day he will move from greenie to trainer and pass it along to the new elder he trains. Like leaving primary to get to young mens, or graduation from high school -- the long awaited removal of the title 'greeny' is just within reach...
